so I handled these handguns yesterday and the best feeling gun was the Norinco. I was shocked. I was really looking at getting an NP-22 and now I think I will. I did handle an actual P226 a few weeks ago but I just can't afford the $1249 price tag. I really did not like the Glock. I found the magazine release to be to small and it had an awkward feeling to it. The Springfield felt alright but just didn't seem natural. The Norinco molded to my hand like it was made for it. I wish I could shoot each one of them but unfortunately finding a gun dealer with a try before you buy option I don't think exists.

Any opinions on this?

If you are paying $1249 for a SIG you need to shop around. I have CPO guns for only $750 and they are like new. New guns are $999.

And the bottom line is buy whatever feels right to you.
Also, try and shoot these guns rather then just handle them. You'll get a much better feel for the gun.

If you can afford a new Glock than you can definitely afford a SIG CPO, which is a much better gun than the NP-22. Much nicer fit and finish, better trigger, doesn't say Made in China on it, and the real SIG will keep working long after Norinco has fallen apart.

+1.
Buy the Sig...If you 'fall out of love', with it, it can be traded or sold with
minimal losss.
Besides, it's unlikely to be the last gun you'll ever buy!;)

If you can afford the differance get the CPO Sig, if not buy the NP-22 from a good dealer that backs what they sell, mine failed at 2,000 rds, but others are going strong after 10,000 so you may get a good one or a not so good one. No doubt the better gun always seems to cost just a bit more than you can afford, painful isn't it? Good luck

I would buy in this order:

Sig
Springfield XD
Glock

.
Norinco

there still a big difference between $350 and $750...if you liked Norinco get one, if the NP-22 going to fall short of your expectations, you can always get a Sig latter

I've seen the Police refurb SIGs for $600. And they look GOOD. You'd basically think they were new.
If you don't mind me asking, who sells police refurbs for $600?

Thanks for all the info folks, I like the idea of a Police refurb. I am OPP so maybe I'll drop by our weapons vault and see what they do with an issue sidearms once the officer turns it in.

I'll definitely look into it and let you all know.

Those police refurbs are most certainly not OPP guns. They are most likely former German police units.
