Stopped at cabellas in reno nv today and handled a ruger sr1911. what a nice peice it is cant wait until mine arrives.
also pictures dont do the stainless sr9 justice. how much red tape is involved exporting one?

It won't be too long & there will be loads of them here for $750 a pop.

I've had a crack at two of them now & passed. Mostly 'cause stainless 1911's [or pistols in general] just aren't my thing. I've handled them & they seem a very decent value for the money, though.

Just wish Ruger had made a blued one. :(

NAA.

I have a few stainless rugers, as well as some blued ones. fit and finish in all of them has been great. been on a bit of a buying rampage lately, kinda hoping i dont find a no1 ah in 25-06 on EE. blew my summer budget three guns ago.

$799. I will save you the call though, they are sold out: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?p=7367823#post7367823

hmmmm
I need to drive to Toronto I think

Received it the night before last and hit the range last night. I made the mistake of letting the wife use it, I am pretty sure I have lost it to her.
The first few tear downs were really tough as it was very stiff, after about fifty tear downs later all the pieces have seem to have broken in well. It was quite accurate with a nice trigger, although not as nice as the vaquero. The only trouble that surfaced last night after 200 rounds of surplus ammo were loose grips, easily fixed with an allen key.
Very nice well made 1911 for a good price, looks like I will be in the market for another very soon.
