Just pulled the Trigger on a Glock 22 Gen 4 :) My first Pistol.

I didn't get a chance to shoot it but after holding and dry firing the glock felt the best in my hand. Now I just need a 9mm conversion barrel and a .22l conversion kit and I'm all set for awhile.

That's great man. Glock 21 was the first pistol I ever bought, against many people's pleas. It probably wasn't the best choice for me personally, but it worked out perfect. I think I fired my first thousand rounds in 10 days or so. Honestly, I rarely shoot my glock anymore, because my collection has grown over the years, and I have grown fond of revolvers. Either way, enjoy it, they are awesome pistols and you can be a great shot with one.

Congrats

Congrats, G22 was the first centerfire handgun I've shot, but I have to say it's not an ideal first handgun at all (no .40 is IMO).

Now I have a Gen4 G22 with a 9mm barrel for it and love it. I had the .22 kit as well but I can tell you you'd be better off with a dedicated .22 pistol like GSG.

You may need to get the 9mm RSA to get the conversion barrel to run well, but someone with the conversion barrel should be able to advise you on that.

My new Gen4 Glock 22 is en route from Ontario...I've already bought a holster for it....Sunday I'm buying 500 rounds of factory ammo for it...already have a "Glock" range bag for it...looking at a reloading press for it...been shopping for 9mm conversion barrel & a .22LR kit for it...

OMG...this thing's already taking over my life, and it's not even here yet!!

do your shopping for the .22 conversion, a little research can save you $50-60. I ended up paying more than I needed to, but I've saved so much shooting .22 that it isn't such a big deal anymore.

Hopefully you've shoot lots of handguns before. Compared to the G17 and G21 the G22 is way snappier. In preference I like my G17, G21, G22 with 9mm LW barrel and don't like the G22 (shoot less than 100 rounds, just don't like it).

.... total lol above .....

As for me, fished a decent gen 2 Glock 22 of the EE about 3 years ago. Ex-cop model with 3 dot nite sites. I specifically wanted the gen 2 with the flat front grip, as opposed to the later models with the finger grooves.

Not going to get a .22 unit for mine, but looking to get a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel at some point. Although, it can't hurt to have a multi-cal Glock set-up in the battery.

My plan is to buy a 40-9 conversion while I wait for my ATT. Will shoot 9 then move up to 40, I would rather have multiple barrels and mags then multiple guns from the same maker.
