Just about finished my first AR build. The lower kit I bought was only $90 and naturally the trigger that was included with it isn't that great. I'm sure breaking it in will help a bit but get the feeling this trigger is going to annoy me. At the range I shoot for the most part they have those gieselle (sp?) triggers but they are like $400. I'm sure they are worth it but hoping to find a happy medium, somewhere in the $200 range?

Anything like that exist that you guys would recommend?

**edit**

Just another thought, is a trigger job difficult to do? I'd like to maybe try polishing the one I have now and see if that improves things. If I'm going to screw up, might as well be on the cheap one I have already and maybe learn something new in the process.

There are a couple welfare mods to improve the trigger.....clipping one the hammer spring arms helps a bit, do a bit of googling, but personally I would not touch hammer or sear surfaces.
I bought an RRA 2 stage for mine, its not super light but I'm satisfied with it for the $90 it cost.

I bought an RRA LPK with the 2 stage national match trigger. It is decent for the price, but still designed to make the 5.5lb service rifle pull weight limit. If you don't have to make the 5.5lb limit Brownell's sells a lighter spring that brings the pull down to ~3.5lb.

I didn't install these on my build, but had seen a few others on here recommend them thru various threads. Seems even I learned something today with this info.

be careful the JP Ent Spring Kit causes lite strikes. specially if you run a conversion kit.
