I was hoping to have some partridge on my plate today but the birds are really scarce around here. If one is around it usually bolts 100 yards in advance at mach 10 speeds hahaeek: Oh well the store bought turkey is gonna taste mighty fine. I am leaving tomorrow for my moose hunt. Shouldn't be a problem shootin' some nice grouse around our camp. Tons of birds there and they are dumb as a stump. Anyways I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and try not to over indulge. Mmmmm Beer and Grand Marnier.

We had a nice turkey yesterday accompanied by some fresh moose roast!

6 grouse for supper tonight.

We just got back from Timmins area, shot 31 grouse in 2 weeks. One of our meals while at camp was a wild turkey from the spring. Going back up the 20th for calfs and another wild game meal with wild turkey. The northern boys don't have turkey so we feed them some of our southern birds. Some of the sitting grouse I missed in Sept. were almost as big as our turkey .

got a speckle belly goose in the oven now. Shot a limit of ducks and a bonus goose this a.m.

I was hoping to get grouse this weekend, but I'll have to wait for a few more days...fighting with the Turkey sleep syndrome right now.

I'm planning on doing up grouse for Christmas. If it wasn't for being away for the weekend, it would've been grouse for thanksgiving.

I'll give you some more side-pork, so I can make room for the moose steaks in the freezer.
