Even at Cabela's in Barrie, when I worked the gun counter last summer (Jul/Aug 2014) , I would tell customers, if you wanna get some _________ (insert toy here) and you need to get it past your wife?

I would suggest to the customers (especially with their wife standing there....); JUST Quit smoking and apply that saved money to your next purchase /project/boomstick/hunting trip/ pickup truck/ATV.

That way, when YOU die, SHE gets everything! The ladies just love me when I bust that open! As you can tell that was the most fun I had earning $11.00 per hour on the Gun Counter! :dancingbanana:

Then I would say, "Just quit drinking and buy that new Quad..." You can guess the rest! Everybody WINS!!! :p

Well I had to pay for this build and now it's complete....

It's my very own Maple Leaf stamped SA20, but I am over the FSB and the 20" barrel so I sold it and installed an NEA 14.5" middy gas barrel with old school middy handguards. :)

I bought this 14.5" middy and gas tube from Ryan at SFRC. Great price!

I am not hunting raccoons at night so weapon lights are lost on me. I'm too ugly and old to deploy overseas so I won't be mounting a AN/PAQ 16 on there. Quad rails are no longer an issue for my competition on the range needs. Besides, I like TAN colors. I'm over the black and OD rifle image for the AR Fun.

Hey, we are not issued this stuff so I can rock whatever I want now! No more iron sighted FNC1A1 for this old phart!

As you can see, I'm rocking a Burris AR-332 3X optic that I bought used on the EE Forum here. This CGN Community is fzcking awesome for deals like these!

This post is not about my SA20, but it's how to keep YOUR partners happy! Let's go! :)

So look what I built for my wife to keep her happy and tickled....

I found an Aero Precision lower with Motiuk Upper and an Armalite (I've always had confidence in Armalite) LPK here on the EE Forum. Then I found the NEA BCG from a terrific CGNutter in WPG, MB area. I bought the 10.5" NEA barrel from Millbrook Canada (not quite a CGN board sponsor, so no hotlinking allowed).

That gas block is an S&J Hardware low profile unit from badboybeeson. The Delta Ring assembly is Dan Defense ordered from Wolverine Supplies or was it Questar? That coulda been MY Delta ring assembly. Either way, I purchased most of my stuff from vendors on this CGN board. :)

I installed all that IMI Tan Polymer furniture from Israel and I'm now good to go for test firing and sighting in for my wife's shooting fun!

Other side....

She was so happy to point that SPARC II at all kinds of objects in the basement as she cleared the room, so to speak. All good fun!

I bought her IMI Tan milspec buffer tube'd buttstock in Ellwood Epps and her tan pistol grip (Armalite) from Wolverine Supplies. The carbine tan handguards came from Israel directly. Could not find them in Canada.

So here is our pair of His and Hers AR15 goodness.....

Now that's how you keep your wife happy! :) Happy Mothers' Day!

Cheers,
Barney
