I got a new .260 Rem rifle coming and trying to get ready but I can't find any brass!! I called Wholesale, Russells and S.I.R., nobody has any in stock. Anybody has a line on where I could find some? Thanks.

Unless I am mistaken, can you not just resize .308 or .243 brass in your Rem .260 die?

Any shop should be able to get Rem brass for you. If its not in stock it should only be a few days to get it in.

If you call WSS-Edmonton directly, I saw some when I worked there, about 2 months ago & they were of the Remington brand. They had lots!

When I called they said that they didn't have any, at any of their stores (according to their computer).

I have gone the route of necking down Hornady .308, just did 15 on the weekend to start testing, and they chambered no problem in my Tikka T3 .260, and also they chambered no problem in a Sako .260.

I had some once-fired to start testing,so I just back-ordered. The necking up of 243 Lapua is the considered the deluxe way. BTW the necking up 243 was the favourite way to get 6.5-08 when it was a wildcat. I'm interested in how yours shoots.

I've been happily shootin my 260 with 7-08 brass for many years. 260 brass was not available at the gunshop when I bought it (which was the year the 260 was first introduced - ?). They had lots of fresh 7-08 in stock though. No issues using it except the headstamp one - which - if I also owned a 7-08 - then it would be an issue for me.
