Hardox 450 target

Hey all. I'm getting a round piece of Hardox 450 3/4" thick. Any thoughts on what calibers it will take and at what ranges? I read a research paper on a 10mm plate that they tested with 308 and 338LM and it withstood the 308 fine but the 338LM went clean through at a range of 50m.

I'm curious if any of you have experience with this stuff.

That thick will hold up to pretty much anything!

Their testing seems to involve a solidly held target, not swinging as in the case of most people shooting gongs, it makes some difference.

Styrofoam can be good with that caliber/distance... LOL

Tried out the target today. Hit it with 223 FMJ 55gr and 308 FMJ 147gr at 100m. There was very shallow pitting of the surface. I would say 0.020" to 0.030" deep going by my eyeometer. I think they will do just fine for any caliber at the intended distance of 300m or more.
