My H/R 410 single shot, shotgun is marked "410-44 Cal" on the barrel.

Can I shoot 44 cal pistol bullets out of it? (44 Long Colt?)

Should I be shooting 2 1/2 or 3" 410 shells in it?

Thanks

Matt

Why ".44 Long Colt"? As far as I know, .44 Colt is an extremely obsolete cartridge. There is another thread around discussing .44 shotguns. These usually accept .44-40 shot cartridges, or the .44-40 case loaded with a single round ball. They are are not intended for use with an elongated bullet. If your gun is factory marked for .410, check the chamber length, and confirm which length of .410 would be apprpriate.
