Ifficionados. One of you must know the collector value of this pistol.
Would like some ideas as to the $$ value of a 1921-1934 Harrington & Richardson .410 Shot pistol, serial number 37xx out of 53,933 manufactured. Also known as a Handy Gun they came in several barrel lengths, the shortest being this one at 8". I would classify this pistol as NRA Good condition. The wood is original and intact but there is blueing loss on the barrel. Bore is shiney, bright and smooth. Lock-up is tight and it is chambered for 2 1/2" .410.
All of the valuations I have uncovered seem to be US based which, as of 1934 prohibited this pistol and it is now a controlled firearm under NFA title II, making it quite collectible if already registered in the US but no longer importable. In Canada this pistol is classified as restricted only, which is unfortunate as it makes a great little grouse gun.
All info and opinions welcome. Thanks,
P7
