I'd like to mount a forward folding bipod on the free float tube of my AR. What size and type would those of you who run one recomend? The only good quality product I'm aware of is Harris, are there other options? Also how long should the legs be to use it comfortably prone or from the bench?

Thanks all

D

The rockmount is a harris clone. It is very solid and works well. They can be had from Wholesale Sports for around $65.

For harris, its the BR model, or bench rest I think it means. Also, if you have the green, get a pivoting model as it allows for more movement when shooting. For length, get the shortest one, as they can extend to give you up to 9 inches of height or so? Either way, its plenty for shooting from a bench. Rock mount is cheaper but would likely hold up just as well for the kind of easy shooting that most people are doing, its not an issue. :)
