Harris Bipod

hey there

i have a ruger 10/22 in a buttler creek folding stock. it has the factory barrel and barrel band (fore stock band). is it possible to mount a harris bipod to my stock with the barrel band in place? actually more like what do i have to do to mount a harris bipod (or similar, suggestions welcome) on my buttler creek folding stock.

You'll need to install a sling swivel in the bottom of the stock. The barrel band is a waste of time. I suggest you remove it and throw it away. The barrel band applies adverse pressure on the barrel and can affect your rifles consistency/accuracy.

What TDC is right, however, for some people removal of the band led to loss of accuracy. I would test it with and without.

EDIT: That is with the stock barrel of course....
