I just went on to Remingtons web site to double check and these are the barrels that they use on their custom tactical target rifles. No personal experience with them but they do have a reputation of being good shooters.

You're in Nova Scotia, get a Kreiger or Bartlein from Peter at Hirsch Precision. I am building a Barnard with a Bartlein. I did lots of research on barrels and went with the Bartlein

Hart have been around for a long time and are top quality. I own a 20 yr. old Hart front rifle rest and it is still working perfect. Cheers Roscoe

Hart Barrels

You can not go wrong with a Hart!

They will help you shoot tight groups day-in-day-out. I have had one for more than 15 years and another for 6 years on my Remington 700 actions with no issues. Highly recommended.

Friend of mine used a Hart barrel on his Anshutz .22 to make the 1980 Olympic team (yes the year Canada boycotted the games).

hart and shilen have been top benchrest winners for decades. they are not better than any other match barrel, but they are not worse either. toyota, honda, nissan mazda. same sort of deal

Assuming you are getting the parts out East, Just see if you can wiggle a better deal with existing barrels offered.

They all shoot great.

Not hearing of Harts is like not hearing of Toyota trucks. Not only being one of the greatest shooting barrels ever made, They also are one of the only companys that stress relieves there barrels when they flute them. An absolutely critical step when fluting a barrel. Not always, but you can absolutely destroy a barrel without stress relieving it with heat when a gunsmith flutes it.

I have a 27 inch sprial fluted Hart on my 7rem mag with a 1-9 twist. I shoot 180 bergers with 65gr of Retumbo. I can put 5 shots in a quarter at 300 yards and i get 4.5 inch groups at 1000.

Again... Harts are one of the finest barrels ever made, along with names like Shilen, Krieger, Lilja and Broughton.

Unless Hart goes under " extremely unlikely in my life time" they will be the only barrels you will ever find on my rifle.

Hart barrels are to the benchrest game as Krieger and Bartlein are to F-class shooters. Extremely good barrels. I wouldn't put Shilen in the same leaque personally. Steve
