Has a semi auto version of the Norinco JS-9 been considered for creation / import?

Preferably with a stupid non restricted barrel.

I figure it would go perfectly with a T97.....

I think either one has been submitted or they cannot make them for us. Many vendors are aware of this firearm as it has come up numerous times in threads like this.

I haven't seen anything in over a year and I'd love one so I figured I'd ask.

Can't isn't really a thing with China....

How well has the T97 been received in the gun market in Canada? If the sales of the T97 were weak, there would be less motivation to bring this 9mm bullpup into the country...

seams pretty prolific to me, and there isn't a single 9mm bullpup on the market here, if the price is decent I think it would sell great.

I was told "maybe in a few years" in 2014

Edit: if link isn't allowed, my apologies - feel free to remove it

doesn't say much.... does that mean one was submitted for FRT... because all they are talking about there is backlog for classification

It is very ambiguous wording, isn't it?

This is the most I could get out of them

My interpretation is that one has not been submitted, but that's simply how I read it

Someone with more insight will hopefully be able to chime in

Well like Canam says, every prospective firearms available for export out of China is being worked on or submitted to the lab by one or many importers at once.

If there is a chance, someone is taking it. It's likely this is at the lab already and no one will confirm.

I would at least like confirmation one is there for FRT like they said for the Type 81.

Then at least I could be hopeful for 4 years from when it was sent in originally.....

Sorry guys, there's only full auto version of this firearm available and they cannot be brought into Canada.
