Has anybody ever heard of this gun?

It's a side by side .410 on the left .44-40 on the right. It has exposed hammers. The only markings are "THE LPG" on the receiver and on the barrel "LPG Genuine Imitation Demascus Twist Steel" Aparently it belonged to my dad's uncle. The butstock has been replaced with a hand carved one, and the action is tight. I would never fire it but it makes a fine conversation piece.

Sounds like one of the Belgian made cape guns from the turn of the century. Are you sure it's 410 and not 44 Shot?

Yes, they are around. I have one that is a combination 44-40 and 12 gauge. It is Belgian. I have fired mine.
