Has anyone built a 300wsm on a long action sako 85

i want to build a 300 wsm using a sako 85 action and bottom metal the action is a 300 win mag or a 338 win configuration. any ideas for the more expierianced long range and presition shooters.

The action will be fine for 300 WSM, and I would extrapolate from the fact that you imply it will be for "precision" shooting that you will be using heavy long match bullets, and the extra length will be a good thing if you plan to use it as a repeater.

I like the 300 WSM as a long distance precision cartridge; it is earning an impressive record on Open F-Class.

yes the long action is to get a little extra room for the VLDs it will be a repeater using the factory bottom metal. it will be built medium heavy for a precision rifle that i can still carry.
