Cause I have:D :D

Managed to find 200 180g round nose and about 1500+ 148g FMJ's.. only cost me about $250 altogether from the states :) I'm really happy! I believe they were originally 7.62... they came to .310. It seems the states have more surplus of things like that... they should ship it to us instead of keeping it all for themselves!!

"...180g round nose..." That's not milsurp ball. That's commercial hunting ammo.
Who made the FMJ's? Post the head stamp. 148 grains isn't a standard weight for .303 ball.
Plus, .310" may or may not be too small for your rifle. A Lee-Enfield barrel can be .311" to .315" and still be considered to be within spec. Slug the bore to find out the exact diameter of your barrel. Hammer a cast .30 cal bullet through the bore and measure it with a micrometer. If it measures more than .315" the barrel is shot out. If it measures more tham .311", your .310's will likely key hole.

:)

I guess I'll have to double check - but likely shouldn't be a problem. If so, I'll just have to find a shooter that has a decent barrel as the #4 I have is really only going to be a wall piece anyways, and if I can't use the bullets, I'm sure someone can. There is no head stamp as they're just the bullets (not full cartridges). The fella I'm getting them from said he used them in his .303 until he found a bunch of Milsurp, so he didn't want to use it to reload anymore. He said this before I told him I was using .303, so likely he had a good barrel ;-)

Hi. You could always see them as a reason to buy a Moisin-Nagant. It uses .311" bullets too. A .310" bullet will be close enough in it.

Yes, those are heavy and light ball bullets from the X54. I use them all the time for reloading the 303. You can still buy surplus X54 for about $80 per 1000 in the US. It works well because you get the powder and bullets. Makes for for cheap reloading. Last batch I bought were cases of Polish and Hungarian.

The 180 is best as far as zero is concerned, but I am just really plinking. I use 123gr from X39, 147 and 180. Never had any problems, and the pulled powder works well in most 30 cal loads.
