Has anyone here disassembled their 92 Chiappa? Interesting Ejector

Hi Guys - Sorry for another Chiappa post...

I have a .357 Chiappa mare's leg takedown and decided to fully disassemble and clean it this past weekend. It was actually pretty straight forward and there are a lot of resources on youtube showing the steps for 1892 lever guns.

One thing I notice was the ejector assembly seems different than both the original winchester 1892s and the other remakes (e.g., rossi). The two main differences are:

1. The ejector (49 in image below) threads on to the ejector pin (48). When reassembling I was unsure of how far to thread it back on, as this changes the overall length of the assembly. Too loose and the ejector assembly is too long and falls out of the bolt assembly. Too tight and the spring seems very compressed. I ended up splitting the difference, but don't have any dummy rounds to see if it cycles.

2. The collar (66) cannot be removed from the assembly unless you unthread the ejector from the ejector pin. As shown in the image below, there is a lip on the ejector pin that keeps the collar from sliding off. I was not expecting this when I dissembled the rifle. Either this is a feature to prevent losing the collar on the floor or a QA issue and the lip is not supposed to be there.

Do you guys have any input or experience with these Chiappas?

I have 3 chiappa levers but I’ve never taken them apart
I have to replace the firing pin on one as it craters the primers
On one of the other ones I have to have the screw that holds tension on the loading gate door loose otherwise it won’t cycle?
Wish I knew more about these things lol

If you ever want to take a stab at it, here is a video showing all of the steps.
