I would like to install a leather sling onto my Dominion Arms Outlaw.

Does anyone have photos of theirs with this done?

Given the short nature I am thinking of mounting the front swivel on the front of the forend so that it doesn't hit my front hand on recoil.

Any thoughts and advice welcomed.

I put this in the Black and Green SG forum because although I do use my Outlaw for road chickens in season, putting this post in the Sporting SG forum probably would have drawn some flak.

I dont own one so dont mind me, but it looks like you could drill and tap the center rib between the barrels for a sling swivel stud. If you go too far forward on the wood forend you run the risk of cracking the wood, and it puts more stress on the locking mechanism. Just my 2 cents.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately I am a klutz with a drill and tap.

Here's a pic of my Backpacker with Uncle Mike's sling studs. They're only like $10 and are pretty easy to install - just need a drill. I haven't had any problems with it mounted to the forend so I don't imagine you would either with your Outlaw...

Nice Outlaw, almost makes me wish I kept mine. I see you put a fibre optic bead, if memory serves, mine would have probably needed one bead for each barrel.

I have two beads, a green one mounted on the centre of the rib lowers the POI of the right barrel down to the POA. I have JB welded a second red bead for the left barrel to the left of the rib. This moves the POI of the badly regulated left barrel down and to the right, closer to the POA.

Good enough for shooting paint can sized targets at 7 yards at the range. ;)
