Their prices seem good. Im just wondering if after taxes, shipping, duty, etc. If its worth it to buy from them or just bite the bullet and buy local. I'm looking for a Weaver Classic V 1-3x20. Comes up at $208.59 from optics planet (plus shipping) I can buy it for 289.99 plus tax at Canadian Tire here. Or, if anyone knows of any online dealers in Canada I could order from that would be great too.

Not true, many companies won't due to the U.S. export paperwork. Some will ship to Canada but charge extra to do so, and some will ship to Canada with no extra charge. There are some specific scopes however that can't be shipped out of the US at all.

I decided last month that I wanted the new Zeiss Victory HT 3-12x56 illuminated. I couldn't find one anywhere in Canada so I ordered one from 4scopes.com. I do prefer to buy from local dealers, but sometimes there are things available from the US that I can't find here. It arrived at my local Fedex facility today. No extra paperwork, no extra fees, very simple.

So depending on what you want it is possible.

Buyer beware...Just because its coming in doesn't mean it's being done legally.... I'll be the first to slam ITAR but its still in place, its all well and good until you have a warranty issue.. or it gets seized on an export check, just saying

*sponsor plug* I just imported a nightforce with prophet river and the price was bang on with US

What about scope accessories, such as rings and bases from the U.S., does this same export/import restriction apply?? Looking to pick up a DNZ one piece base and rings from DNZ. If there is a restriction, does anyone know where to get DNZ products in Canada?

Rings and mounts are not ITAR restricted for export from the US. The US Dept of Commerce regulates the export of sights and sight systems so contact them if you have any questions but rings and mounts should be OK.

Now that doesn't mean every vendor will ship them to you. Some US vendors will still not ship out of the US as company policy.
