has anyone picked up an ar-180b from wolverine

um, okay, I'm interested in the CURRENT quality of the most recently produced examples of the rifle (I looked at early examples and was not at all impressed). I am also interested in its current availablity and price....thanks for the input...

$1097 You get 1 5/20 mag and a instruction manual. They already sold off their early october shipment. So that means they got a lot of rifles and sold them all off, or they got like 5 and sold out fast. I can't figure it out. Either which way I'm set back a month or so since I bought something else.

I just got mine - it came from the wolf. no complaints here - except the crappy mag it came with which never cycles the last round.

I have a 30 rounder pinned and it seems to work fine.

I ordered through milarm and received awesome service.

Best Price? I dunno these things are in demand, I paid full retail $1100 plus the tax.

Armedsask

Its the straight little black mag that came with the rifle looks to me to be a 5/10.

I may need to do some of your mods as there were a few times where I inserted a new mag (either of them) and pulled back on the charging handle/release to chamber the new shell.... and nothing chambered.

(whats funny is this problem only happened in the bush when quadding - when shooting at the range when I first got it - I went though 120 rds flawless feeding - I hope I didn't bend the whole rifle strapping it down to my front rack...)

This happened with both mags. I must not be pushing the mag in far/hard enough?? (I am though I am sure) after fighting with it and switching mags back and forth, it finally loads a shell and away I go firing...

I only have cleaned the barrel after 120 rds, so could this be a chamber cleaning issue or a mag issue? I doubt it from what I have heard of the clean gas system it uses.

I read your site - good info, I have a feeling the action is not snagging the new shell to chamber it when a new mag is inserted, did you run into this?

I certainly need to learn more about the operational mechanics of my new rifle to help me diagnose what I see as a mag glitch on a great rifle.

$1100 is pretty good in comparison to the price of a new AR!!Does the Atchisson .22 kit for the AR fit this too.I dont know how much these are like the AR's.

Nope, the kit only works in AR uppers. The 180b is entirely different.

The classification of Non Restricted has incredible value compared to an AR-15, for as much as I get out shooting (it seems lately) I can certainly afford to plink gophers with 223.

I am going to get the r22 for high volume low cost plinking. I am sure in the future we will see some 22 uppers, someone with a CNC machine just needs to get at it.

The 180 seems to have growing support for the aftermarket... I am glad I own one, problem is my buddy with the AR can't go anywhere when I want to go shooting he has to leave his bad boy at home, Range excluded, it also seems some ranges do not allow restricted from personal exp. I think most do though.

I can bring mine anywhere. and to me the freedom of mobility is where its at when fun is part of the equation.
