I bought a new CSA VZ61 .32ACP and took it to the range for the first time last night. I only had PMC 71gr fmj ammo and it was constantly jamming. Tried all 3 mags with the same results. Always a failure to feed. Rounds would come out of the mag at a bad angle and jam up before chambering.
I've read that the Skorpion can be picky about the brand of ammo but I think it should be able to reliably feed any fmj round nose ammo at least, so I took it apart and did a close inspection. I noticed the feed ramp on the receiver has a sharp edge to it and I can see where copper was shaved off of the bullets as they were fed into the chamber.
I'm tempted to take a dremel with a polishing wheel and smooth out the ramp and the sharp edge.
Anyone tried this? Any other recommendations? Maybe I should forget the idea and see if it's a warranty thing? I've never had good luck getting warranty work done a firearm.
