I have seen it and it does not work well. First off a regular Acog only has 1.5" eye relief so most scope mounts do not get the optic back far enough for it to work. SEI makes a special Acog scope mount to get it far enough back. A TA11 Acog will work better on an M14 because it has way more eye relief.
Now there's still the optic height problem, it sits way high. Unless it is on a Sage EBR or a Troy forget it. With a regular GI stock it is atrocious.
GDI made a awesome Acog mount for the M1A.

I have a BM59 folding stock on my M1A and it is a poor stock for trying to get a good cheek weld because the wire folding stock is way lower than a USGI stock. Is there a good optical compromise?
That's interesting a eotech infront of an acog. Can't see any reason for that unless the acog was on a flip to side mount or something. Now if he had a magnifier between the two and a shoulder thing that goes up, he'd be all set.I love this photo!
