Has anyone successfully used a .22LR conversion kit on an NP29 or other 9mm 1911?

I've got an older NP29 - 9mm 1911 model, and would love to get a conversion kit for it - but only if its going to work. Most of them specify 45ACP, but its unclear if the tolerances for a 9mm model might allow it.

They won't work. Sell the 9mm and buy a .22 or a .45 govt with conversion.

I use a Colt conversion on mine.
Works very well.
I did install a .45 ejector.

ive got a Sig Sauer P226 and the kit works fine to convert to 9mm

I have a GSG .22 1911 conversion slide for my NP29 9mm Norinco. It works very well. The .22 magazine required a small modification for the catch to work reliably, but the slide fit perfectly. The NP29 frame is a standard Colt 70 model.
