Has anyone taken apart the GSG 110 round drum?

Yep...the one they recommend to not take apart.

I think mine is pooched. The starter tab thing has came off the end bullet that you move with the thing on the outside (worst description ever) but I can't load it anymore. So I am thinking I may venture in it to see what I can see...anyone done that before or have any tips?
 
Well I bought it used so only a $75 dollar paperweight currently haha. I think if I can reattach the fake bullet attached to the winded it should work. It looks like there is only a flipping staple holding it in. If I dive in I will try to snap some pics
 
I took one apart a couple weeks ago, for the same reason as yours. I replaced the dummy bullet on the white nylon strip and reassembled the mag. Its not that difficult to do, it took me a couple attempts to set the spring with the correct tension, about two turns for my mag. The reason they jam up is because of poor loading technique, you have to just turn the drum only a very small amount to feed the next round in, and keep a close eye at the loaded rounds through the windows at the side of the mag, all the rounds should be spaced equally with no gaps. If you find a gap, you have to remove the rounds up to that point and start over.
After a few minutes you will get the hang of how much to turn the drum and its pretty simple.

where does one buy this McFadden loader? I take it that there are no issues with the loader and the drum due to the Ruger feed system and the Ruger adapter you can purchase for the loader?

I have the Butler Creek speed loader...I may give it a shot on the drum! :)
