Has anyone tried .18" lead "BB" shotgun pellets in their airguns?

The reason I ask is that I have a airgun that shoots BB's but they have to be lead.It has a rifled barrel so Steel BB's scratch the rifling. If anyone has a Shotgun shell with those pellets in it, I would be grateful if they could see if one of the pellets fits in their pellet gun.If they are a uniform .18", I think they might work..

You probably want to track down some "Beeman Perfect Rounds" lead BB's, or the Gamo lead balls. They are around and available.

Checked DandL Airguns? They are local to you, but do not operate storefront.

Sized to fit properly. Better than too tight a fit in the bore.

Shotgun BB's are not as round, and not as consistent in size.

Thanks for the information..I will get some Gamo Rounds

Is your airgun 4.4mm or4.5mm?A lot of German round ball airguns are 4.4mm.Gamo round pellets are 4.5mm.H&N pellets are made in 4.4mm round ball if they are available in your area.JG Airguns in the USA has surplus East German 4,4mm leads balls.
