From watching the videos of the Smith brake in action on the Smith Ent. website I bought one for my M14. Best money I ever spent. Now I have one for my shorty M4. I haven't shot it yet but hopefully very soon. The M14's recoil was reduced to nill and the M4 brake should keep the muzzle level for faster shooting.
