Has it lost it's appeal???

Well, went and took down the feeder and blind today.

So, in 3 months of season I went out a total of 4 times.Haven't been out for 3 or 4 weeks prior and really didn't seem like a loss.

So, yeah, as the season went on my interest got less and less.Maybe need a semi-nekid , large breasted , tight bummed , hottie to ask me to go hunting next year!! Laugh2

I didn't hunt hard this year. But I did hunt more than I thought I would. It does help to have prime wildlife habitat that you can view from the windows of your house. My son and I took five animals this year, all within 800 m of the house. I had permission on about six sections of land elsewhere but only hunted half of them. After he killed his first deer ever, it kind of rekindled my interest. Our one away trip was in Taber for pheasants. Looking at doing antelope or Camp Wainwright next year.

Just wondering if others out there feel the same.

I used to be so dedicated to hunting and look forward to the start of the season.I even purchased a bow so I could get as much season as I could. This season I think I have been out maybe four times.

Now, it seems almost like a chore or an inconvenience to head out hunting and there is always something more important to do.

Is it me or is it not what it used to be???

Even though this was the best season I have had since 2008, it was a concerted effort to haul my &ss out of bed some mornings. My boy hasn't got the bug (yet), and my regular huntin posse moved away. Find myself puttering in the garage on my motorcycle, rather than cleaning / sizing / tumbling brass.

I have a few dozen geese in the freezer, and a bull elk, and a bear, and a few pheasant, and a bunch of ducks, so shooting a whitetail doesn't seem so important to me right now. Last day of the season is Wednesday, that might motivate me to go out one more time though...
