Has Sig Sauer discontinued the stainless line yet?

No, name and cosmetic changes.

ST no longer exists but Elite models are stainless framed P22x (apart from SS, X5, etc)

Elite models feature front serrations, beaver tail and the SRT(short reset trigger-which is supposed to be offered as a retrofit for P22x pistols)

If that's the case there are still lots around. I bought this P226 in 9mm last week from P&D in Edmonton. TSE had one at least and I think Wolverine might.

First I heard about it back in March, but looks like they still around (all stock). According to post on Sigforum them have been replaced with Elite model.

ST line has been discontinued. There is a stainless model of all the Elite pistols.

Don't worry though - they still have grim trigger pulls. I tried an Elite when I was in Florida and it has this short reset thingy, but is still a pretty stiff trigger pull. Fortunately I know how to do trigger jobs on P226s, and I did one on my ST.

Other than the SRT, there is nothing about the Elite that I find particularly endearing compared to the old ST model. And you can retrofit the SRT anyway.

It's known as a "beavertail" and I actually hadn't noticed before. I think it is more appropriate on a 1911 also.

What is the going price for these from P&D etc ? I have found one in Vancouver but it seems to be priced a bit steep, like most things here. PM me if you don't want to post prices.

I paid $1250.00 plus GST & shipping at P&D. I got the last stainless they had. There is one at The Shooting Edge in Calgary for about the same price. They are great to deal with as well. There was a P226R at Italian for $1450 plus PST and GST. I'd like to support local gunshops but I think that price was way out of line. Here's the Sig at TSE

Just realised you might be asking about the Elite. P&D has a .40 and a .45 both for $1450 ea. They also have a 9mm for $1295.
