I wouldn't say so. Though the Russian SKS doesn't differ much either.

The Chinese guns presently sold at a few dealers are for the most part factory 306 and factory 625 guns. They are also military SKS rifles from the same batch. The difference is the other importer (north sylva) only wanted to buy a few of the rifles, so Marstar stepped in and bought a much larger quantity (i.e. the whole lot). So the guns Marstar will be selling are identical to what's already here. The difference being once the other dealers run out (soon), marstar will be the only game in town for this particular batch of military chinese sks rifles at retail.

In my case, I am hoping they end up having more than just 306 and 625 codes. I already have both of those and won't be buying "doubles".
