Has there been any news on the Jard 48?

There was an announcement made some time last year that it was non-restricted, but I have yet to see any retailer carrying it, nor have I seen any range reports, etc on it. It looks like it would be better built than the SU-16, so it kind of piqued my interest. Has anyone heard anything else about it?
 
I hear there are 20 , in Canada and they should be made available soon. There are more on the way with plans to make the J17 also available for the Canadian marget . J 48 is listed for $1125 USD so that should put them at $1400 to $1500 CAD.

Too bad about the Canadian dollar right now, not sure if it will get my interest at that price point as I doubt they are worth 4-500 more than a vz58 which is also on my NR list. Do you know which retailer will be carrying the 20 that are in the country?
 
Well a SU 16 ,with a pistol grip stock an a new forearm will run you about $1200 to $1300 CAD. Is it worth a couple hundred more for something that uses a AR trigger , barrel and butt stock? Hard to say but , I've heard 2 diff stores have 10 each. All I hear is that they are fairly accurate. Maybe the stores want to test them for themselves , for functionality and such. Before they list them.

I guess that's true, I didn't think about the total out the door price once you dress it up a bit.
