My brother and I went into a bush at 12PM to hunt turkey. We split where we jumped two deer. I followed the two deer which kept ahead of me but would wait for me at 50 to 80 yards three times until I stopped where I set up. My brother walked about another 15yds and set up in a cedar bush. He sat down and after a few minutes at about 10 yards from him he noticed a deer standing behind a cedar tree. He got up and waked to within 5yds of her and saw her head hanging down. He watch her from a few minutes before she put her head up and realized he was there, at which time she ran off. Was she sleeping or getting ready to have a fawn?

I'll get Kreskin on the phone immediately and he will use his phsycic powers to make mental contact with the deer and tell us what it's malfunction is.
I am seeing the letter "C".... does this have any meaning for you???:p
Sorry Tracker just having some fun with you... but the question is kind of open ended... any answer would just be an educated guess.
I would guess exhaustion... often at this time of year the coyotes will torment a doe who is about to drop a fawn.

Maybe Bigred but I never seen a deer sleeping standing up. I have walked up to deer bedded down like a dog with a covering of snow on them as if they died in that postion. Maybe she was someones pet or tied up for the fall hunt. Just pulling your chain?
