A buddy of mine had purchased a used Henry Golden Boy in 17 hmr from a gentleman off a used gun site. The gun appeared to be in like new condition and he thought he had scored a good deal. We took it out shooting and on the second shot the casing blew out and struck him in the face with a bunch of debris causing him to bleed. We went home and disassembled the gun and found someone had broke the receiver where the barrel is pinned in and JB welded it back together. We contacted the seller and he refunded buddy his money and told him to keep the gun. Next we called Henry and explained the situation. They had us send the broken gun in and sent buddy a brand new 17 hmr. Thanks to Henrys awesome customer service buddy scores a free gun and all he had to do was almost lose an eye lol.
