Hi all. I don't have a lot of experience with air guns so I will try and explain this as best as possible. Model is in the title, .177, 495fps.Lead pellets, loads properly, barrel breaks normally. When you fire the gun the pellet only travels about an inch down the tube. Is this a broken spring or a seal issue and is it something I can repair myself? As well, can I increase the power to 600fps and if so, how? I will sit back and read the input. Many thanks.

One or the other, did it ever shoot right for you? If so do you notice any difference in recoil or sound. You will have to disassemble to find out. It is something you can do your self. I dont know if this model is a clone of a european make but most likely you will need a spring compressor etc. Being able to repair or modify your air rifle is a great hobby in its self so start studying. Thats howI did it and now I dont own an airgun that I havent taken apart and repaired tune or modified myself and I own 8 and they all perform better than stock. Google is your friend, ask plenty of questions there are many airgun forums out there.

Its going to have to come apart and you will likely find your spring is broken. Because its making very little power you should be ok taking it apart without a spring compressor as there is not enough pressure on the spring to even get the pellet out of the barrel. Try looking on youtube for a clip on how to take that gun apart. If you dont have any luck there hop on over the "gateway to airguns" forum and post your question in the turkish airgun section along with direction on taking it apart. If the spring is busted I would suggest also getting a new piston seal and a couple of replacement breech seals.

Go on Canadian Airgun Forum.D+L Airguns in BC has utility springs likely getting Turkish parts for anything will no be fruitful. When you get the mainspring out measure the wire diameter ,# of coils I.D. of sprig and O.D. then you will know what will work for a replacement.Airgun Headquarters in the USA may have a drop in replacement as well as seals etc.

I actually can't remember how it shot. I can't even remember when I got it. It had been siiting in my closet for some time. Decided I might try it out and noticed how sluggish the recoil felt. Broke the barrel and there was the pellet

I have checked out a few youtube vids on this. I will probably need a compressor to get it back together anyway so to be safe I will make something up at home. It doesn't look to difficult.

I was going to rerach out to D&L but thought I might post here for some early referances and ideas. Many thanks to all so far.
