Was looking at a Hatsan 125, anyone have any info on them. Is the 1250ft/s rating with alloy pellets or lead, are they a gun that will last or not?

Hatsans are Turkish can be harsh firing ,roughly machined and variable QC.The Walther Falcon Hunter is a rebadged 125.don't be seduced by velocity claims manufacturers use to sell guns.When a pellet goes sub-sonic around 900fps+ it becomes unstable riding the shock wave and only works with the heaviest pellets.So much for speed.Better to hit something where you're aiming at 800fps than cripple or miss it at 900fps.Depending on your budget a HW Weihrauch is German quality you won't wear out in one lifetime.The Ruger airhawk [Chinese] has had good reviews.Chinese QC can be all over the place as well lot to lot....pyramidair has reviews on most guns...............Harold......I'd get a HW77 or HW50s in .177 if it were me as I have a HW80K/.22 for hunting med small game
