I currently purchased a "Black Dog" AR-15 22LR magazine for my Colt AR-15 22LR conversion. I tried to test it today with the snap caps but it would not chamber the rounds. Mark at Questar told me that these mag's should work. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any were that I could purchase some Colt AR-15 22LR mag's?

No they don't. The conversion bolt catches on the top of the magazine preventing operation. You're stuck with a near useless conversion as far as BDM mags go, as am I.

Did I tell you that they should work??? I could have sworn that I told you to contact Kevin at Black Dog Machine because they would be the people to ask. The magazines are advertised to work with the Ciener Kits... they work with the Tactical Solutions uppers and the Spike's uppers and the CMMG kits. All of those I've tried and tested personally so I can state that I know they work.

I've never tried the Colt conversions and have no experience with them... which is why I specifically remember stating that you needed to check with Black Dog directly to see if they would work or if they have a magazine that will work (since they make a couple of versions of the magazine for other conversion kits... Olympic Arms for example).

Hey no biggy Mark. My fault just to eager to get my conversion kit back up and rocking again since I don't have a mag for it. Still I would live to find a mag for it though.
 
Bought mags for my Colt conversion kit at The Shooting Edge last year. Mags worked great but are only 10 round. Would love to get BDM mags but haven't heard if they will be making them for colts or not....
