Have an old login/userid; how do I delete old?

Hey all,

I've realized that I have an old login/userid that I don't use. It was an ID I created years ago, and forgot about. How do I go about deleting it, and just keep my new, useful ID?
Who should I contact and how? I obviously just need (and want) one consistent ID.
