So the wife buys me the R22... and now Every day she goes to the post office she gets another package for me.. I've been telling her it's just Christmas Stuff (guess I better order some!) but yesterday she sees all this stuff on my desk and I'm sure the light went on... I've now got 6 mags, a mag loader and over 1000 rounds of 22.. She doesn't know about the bipod, laser/light and scope that's on the way... Or the other 2000 rounds of ammo that's coming....

And yes I've found the yellow Jackets work really well...

Have I taken this too far?

Hmmmmmmmmm...I know if I was buying all of that stuff without my wife knowing about it...I'd be sleeping on the couch...no, make that the porch.

Of course, the same goes for her and her fetish for purses, scarfs and shoes.
 
Trade the wife? Are you crazy? She bought you the R22, keep her. The only problem is that she obviously has some firearm knowledge ( I assume she has her PAL?) so she will know when you aquire new toys (or many accessoires). I say good for you. I might be in the same boat one day, as my girlfriend is very into guns:).

As a side note, is that a speed loader for the steel lips? If so, how well does it work? I think I need to get one....

Concidering you've got half the mags and 1/7 the ammo I've put into my R22 experiment, I'd say you've got some room to grow.

It's a nice toy.

The loader is for the hot lips or steel lips and it works pretty good.. Sure saves the thumb... I don't love the knob.. but I can and will fix that...

I must have too many kids I immediatley thought of Bob the Builder....

Oh god thats good for a laugh. You sound just like me trying to hide this #### from certain family members. Boxes just keep showing up at my door, its getting harder to pull off. To answer your question, hell no! Its never enough... if you have the means that is...

I love the beast. The stock sucks, but I've got a new one coming and will be buying the new improved model when it's available.

Mine loves Federal #710 Gameshock, and Federal #745C Champion.

My steel lips mags work 100% with the above ammo.

I strongly recommend you take a minute and strip the shroud off and give the barrel a snug with a strap wrench, and make sure to tighten all the bolts hand tight. Double check to ensure the roll pin that holds the mag catch in place is through both sides.

Other than the third world dollar store kiddie toy furnature, it's my favourite gun.

I will most definately be ordering another when the next models are available.

Smuggle in?? Hell no.. she carries them in and gives them to me.... I just say "no peeking you'll see at Christmas" I just hope the kids don't mind the sound of rapid fire at 5 AM Christmas morning...

Do I tell them that I was just scaring off some intruder?:confused:

I think I've been going overboard too. I bought 7 guns since this fall. My wife is so going to wonder why so many parcels have been arriving at the post office. No thanks to you guys on these forums I just ordered a Brno cz452 varmint and a Baikal TOZ MODEL 78.:rolleyes: :p

My solution was now I had to go and buy my wife something she wanted before she starts asking questions (a PSP giga pack). Hmmm.... I wonder if there's any good shooting games for it... ;)

Hey, most of that stuff is relatively inexpensive. 6 mags, though? Lol!
 
You're going through the same OCD phase I am... just different gun ;)

I have ordered so much stuff (some crap) for me in the last two months my VISA bill is looking very scary - and I haven't started Christmas shopping.

I am telling myself to stop it come Jan.2006 (I still have some stuff to order on Monday - heheh)
