Have you ever done this to your 1911?

I would like to get my ejection port lowered on my Springfield GI 1911 and also get a scallop cut and beveled.Has anyone here had this done and appox cost.
Plus...I'm looking for a Great Smith to do this work,Know someone?

I'd do this. Minus the beers, if you want that ejection port to be ground straight.

The Norc sport model 1911s already have this done afik, I decided to Hire Josef Dlask to do the port and install a FO front sight,Spoke to him and his prices are great.

I guess I'm a hillbilly. Although I don't have a dremel. I haven't lowered an ejection port but my files have removed a lot of material from a Norinco.
