As a serious collector, you've probably acquired many books for researching your milsurps hobby. Have you ever wanted to interview and ask specific questions addressed to some of the authors of those books? Well, now you can with our newly created VIP Interviews (click here)http://www.milsurps.com/vbinterviews.php area of the Milsurp Knowledge Library, which has officially opened this week for testing, to gauge how popular it will be within the collecting community.

Besides well known authors and members of our Advisory Panelhttp://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=23, some recognized expert collectors and other special guests have also graciously accepted an invitation to answer your questions. Detailed biographies of our guests are on-line in the interview area, in order to help you determine which guest is best suited to answer your question.

Although not a final listing, initially some of our inaugural guests include Peter Laidler, handling questions about No.4 Mk1 Lee Enfield sniper rifles and No.32 scopes and the Bren LMG (Bren Light Machine Gun), Ian Skennerton handling general questions about the Lee Enfield rifle, John Thorne, Karkee Web Site owner handling questions about British and Empire equipment and accoutrements, Michael Petrov handling questions about pre-1940 American custom built sporting rifles and the various gunmakers who produced them and John Beard handling questions about U.S. M1903, M’03-A3 and M1917 rifles.

Finally, although certainly not in the class of the many experts above, yours truly handling questions about the history of Milsurps.Com, its various features, as well as taking suggestions about options for future development. :D

As they accept invitations or volunteer their services, more special guests will be brought into the interview areas and appear within the various collecting categories shown.

We hope the general collector community finds this new venue useful and if anyone has any recommendations for other authors or expert collectors they'd like to see participating there, please let us know ... :)

Regards,
Doug
