just bought two metal 30/5 round magazines from wolverine and they dont quite fit into my rifle i was wondering if anybody had any experience with fitting these to their rifles....they are not getting stuck on the wood or anything do i need to file something?

They have to be fit.
Filing metal away from the rear tab that the latch on the SKS clips into is the best way.
If you take away enough they will be able to click in similar to the Tapco's but too much and they get sloppy.
Swapping mags with this gun is silly IMHO, and it's best to just keep one mag in the gun and top load it with stripper clips.
If you want to sell the other let me know.

Yep... carefully and gradually file the edge of the rear tab until it just snaps into place with a bit of force. They are good quality mags for aftermarket.
the mags arent the problem they fit into my sks that was fitted for a drum at the gunsmith but i have two stock refurbs that im trying to put these mags on and they dont fit at all im just not sure where the gun smith filed down

The proper way to do this is to file the mag, not alter the gun.
If your first sks fits them fine, then it was likely modded.
This is the reason the mags come with such a large tab. So you can fit them to the particular gun.
Different SKS's have slight differences, but the best way to see where your original sks was modded is to take it out of the stock, and look for where the gun might have been filed down.
Me, I wouldn't be modding the gun, but the mag.

I have one of those and I couldn't make the front of the duckbill catch anything. Mag fit no problem. Mag catch caught it fine but the duckbill wouldn't catch anything just kept coming out. I tried a few things and couldn't get it to go in solid. Wish I could help more. I just ended up getting a tapco mag. They've worked great for me after a little filing. Anybody wanna trade my metal Sks mag for a pmag? Lol!
