Good day fellow nutterz!

These are the mags in question

I have been having an issue over the last several months with a couple of my XCR mags. When I use my mags with orange followers, model #RRA LAR-15 (I have two and both have the same problem) the bolt carrier will not travel all the way to the rear. The bolt catch only manages to catch on the bottom of the carrier (pic 1), not the bottom of the bolt as it should, and does with the mags with the black flowers (model unknown) (pic 2).

This has not been an issue with any other 5/30 magazine I have used either.

The only discernible difference I can see between the two is that the lower part of the platform on the orange follower mags sits slightly higher, though the top of the followers sit at the same position. Though the more I look at the pictures, it seems that the cutout in the magazine is actually a little lower on the orange mag.

Has anyone had similar issues or can anyone shed some light on what may be going on here?

Thanks for the input!

Orange follower is faulty in either its design or the way it was molded. It pushes on the bolt stop in the way that it catches bolt by the carrier and not the bolt head. Replace it with STANAG follower that has empty 223 cartridge case molded in to it,, anti tilt preferred.

The orange follower has a molded cartridge bump in it, but switching followers out is worth a try
