Well i set up my new Hornady dies and on the up stroke to push the primer out, no problem. On the stroke to take the case out of the die, it gets stuck everytime. Any ideas?? Bad die maybe??

Check the shoulder out:

...............Dan Dan you da man!!!!:D It worked!!!

....................How come after loading for maybe over a dozen calibers now i run into one where i need to lube the inside?? I have never done this. Its not going to screw up the powder will it?? Maybe i should throw em into the tumbler after??

Try using motor mica or graphite as inside neck lube just a dry powder doesn't bother powder either. Apply with a cleaning brush. I have an old Lyman kit has a small reserve for the mica and 3 different size brushes mounted on the base. Works great I have opened 30-06 to 35 whelan and 307 to 356 using this with no problems. Just my .02

I always tumble my brass after resizing with any type of lube.Pistol cases and neck sizing I do not.I do not think it is wise to have any lubricant at all on the outside of the case when fired. Also, the lube can cause some of the tumbling media to get stuck in the case neck or just below inside the shoulder if too much is used. Not much time in the tumbler and it should all be gone!.The one shot case lube I do not think i had trouble with but any of the roll on or imperial sizing wax would leave some residue.Good luck with the 257!!

I always lube the inside of the neck. Occasionally some powder will stick to it, if it does I just kind of lightly stick it back in with a Qtip.
