I purchased a Remington 870 Express with 3 barrels and one of the barrels is a 20-inch turkey with TruGlo Rifle Sights.

When I purchased it the back sight was centred and when I tried shooting it at the range, it was consistently shooting slugs 5-8 inches right of where I was aiming.
To be able to be accurate I had to push the back sight a decent amount to the left. But now the sight looks oddly offset to the left.

Is this normal in shotguns? Maybe I'm just OCD but everything in the shotgun looks centred, i dont understand why the sight has to be so offset for it to be accurate.

I had a similar issue with a 10/22 takedown. I couldn't hit the ocean if I were aiming at it predictably.
Problem revealed itself when it went to mount a optic rail. The rear sight was milled into the rear of the barrel off a few degrees to the ledt. I called the warranty warehouse and sent the rifle in..... it remains at the warranty site 2months now waiting on a new barrel from Ruger.

Maybe thstbis your issue the one picture makes it hard to tell but a piece of string or a measuring tape later on top of thebriflr should reveal a sight deviation fast. Unfortunately lower prices come with less quality control and increased use to manufacturer warranties.

Did it shoot like that with every brand of slug, or just that one make? We’re you shooting through a choke or open cylinder? From my experience different brands of slugs will shoot differently in the same gun, that 870 combo comes with a mod and a turkey choke iirc. Try an ic or open cylinder and see f there’s a change in poi.
