Has anybody else tried these? I picked one up the other day at stoon gunworks for $25 and thought it looked like a great idea. I just tried and It only fits 2 of my 5 10/22's. seems a little long. The two that it did fit it wouldn't cycle if I loaded it with the "stripper" clips. I got it to feed in one rifle by loading it manually however. Hopefully I can get it to work it seems like a good platform.

I bought the varmint pack from stoon gunworks in last fall. The magazines fit great in one of my 10/22s but are finicky in the other and difficult to insert. I used a but of graphite dry lube on the back of the mag well which seemed to help. I'm not sure if it's the tolerances on the magazine or the rifle but I've learned to live with it. The hc3r mags are made of a much more robust material than comparable brands. And they can be disassembled for cleaning. A big plus for me. The heavier plastic may have a bearing on the fit.
As far as them cycling properly, it takes some practice to load them so they will function properly. Let's just say they have a personality. I found a youtube video that helped me understand how to load them. I bought some snap caps to practice loading and after a bit of practice I was able to reload a magazine and have it cycle reliably.
The hc3r mags are a great product once you figure out how to load them using the strippers. I prefer them over my B.C. mags.

you right after watching the you tube video I see that there is a definite learning curve to load and stack these mags. I tried it once and I think the mag will work just fine if you follow the instructional vid. And as far as it not fitting, I lightly filed and radius the small nub on the back of the mag as it seems that was the place it was hanging up and it seems to fit in all my 10/22s now. Thanks for the tip!

I have 3 brand new ones collecting dust since I got rid of my 10/22 but I had 3 others that I used and out of the box they did not fit, I had to file the back nub because they were hitting the receiver. Once I got them to fit well it took quite a bit of practice to load them to feed reliably. I would still get some malfunctions, usually one failure to feed or a double feed per magazine, but for the most part I think they were less aggravation than loading up 25 rnd butler creek's by hand. Once you have a decent technique for loading the clip and seating the cartridges/follower it is a pretty quick system.

I bought the tactical pack. Took some fitting and filing of the steel lips to feed reliably in my DAR22 but no issues since. Loading with the stripper clips definitely takes some practice.

I picked up a bunch of mags off the EE a while back and there were 3 of these in the mix. After receiving them, I immediately went to Youtube to read reviews and to see how to properly use these. For me anyway, they seem like a great idea but they never feed well. For whatever reason, the rounds never seem to want to point up (front end of the rounds is always down). I tried using that feed assit knob on the side of the mag to help the rounds stack properly but still no luck. I'm about ready to toss these mags in the trash tbh.
