I recently came a rood a person who wants to sell me 7.62x51 NATO tracer. How ever they claim to have removed the paint from the tips... Why I don't know. But it's imposible now to tell if this is for real. The head stamps read, IVI S0 and are double cantillured. This person claims the double canillure means it is tracer. I have two pictures of what they want to sell me as (tracer ) can anyone help me tell if they are Infact tracer with no painted tips? Sorry, I don't know how to attach images

If they are double cannalured they are most likely tracer yes, You can ask him to pull one of the bullets and show you the base, If the bullet is long and has an opening in the base that looks like it has a brass cup in it, it is a tracer

I would imagine you want them for shooting . So as others have said pull one or a couple random cartridges and check the bullet bottoms only shure way . Use a fired case slip the fired case neck over the cartridge bullet as far as you can , Use a rocking rolling Motion to lossen the bullet from the live case you will feel it get lose then just pull it out carefully as to not sling the powder all over .IMG_20171001_171228.jpgIMG_20171001_171240.jpg
