heading out for moose in the morning

Well another year is here and the truck is all loaded up, the bike is on the trailer and its time to get some rack, heading out at 4 am for a 10 hour drive to moose camp, this year our party has two either ### tags in the best area on the rock, area 2. 5 guys and two tags should be a great time!!
This year i decided to go with the 308, Santa barbara spanish mauser, shooting 150 gr winchester supreme fail safes.

cant wait to head out and get our meat, wish us luck, im sure there will be lots of storys and pics when i get back in a week!

I've hunted Portland Creek (Area 2) quite a bit in recent years. Never had a problem taking a moose (1,500 licenses might be an indicator of that). Where you headed, Batteaus Road?

Good luck with your hunt! Great area. I also have hunted Batteaus, in fact lived in the area for a number of years. There's a bog called "Spring Tilt" that used to be my favourite place, used to be moose galore! Look forward to seeing your pictures.
