Heads Up! Great deal on Mossberg 500 in the EE!

Bad form to link to an ad even if the price is silly.

A gun is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it, if a guy is trying to get over market value for a gun, this isn't the place.

He can advertise it for $10,000 if he wants to. Remember things are worth what you are willing to pay for it.

BTW I have a slightly Bubba'd enfield with minor pitting, a cracked stock, and accuracy problems for $850 plus shipping FIRM

Sarcasm over now;)

Personally, I think we should be allowed to slag EE ads. If a seller is attempting to use asymmetric information and the internet to pocket a way above average selling price for a piece, they should also have to deal with the caveat that someone may call them out in a public thread.

Why?

You dont like it.. dont buy it.

Some guy doesnt need to get beat down by a mob of people who want a deal....

PM him if its to rich for your blood.

I won't

There's a difference between a deal and a steal, given this is internet selling, free information should be allowed to be passed between buyers, it ought to be a free market without censorship

PM him if its to rich for your blood.

Like I said, I'll just wait until the 10th bump before sayin something, if its a piece I'm interested in.

Just my 2 cents

Im not against you for thinking its ridiculous and trying to have a holier then thou attitude... I get that the prices can be crap...

But seriously, its like people need to be babysat.... If someone doesn't do their research and gets screwed, they learn for next time.

I dunno, maybe I'm just a jerk, but the whole rip a guy who might not know any better or feel sorry for they guy that screwed because he didn't do his research doesnt solve the problem in my mind...

But if someone posts... ONE OF FIVE IN THE COUNTRY or EXTREMELY RARE... and its not.... tear him apart, as hes lying and deserves it...

He's New, way to welcome him to CGN!! He may have paid a bunch for it and isn't privy to the value. Not everybody zips right to WSS or Cabelas before they post an Ad to see the going rate "Out West" If he's a scammer, he won't last anyway but he could be just plain green to the value as well. We're supposed to be proactive with each other on forums, instead every other post it seems is reactive.

I totally agree. Any new comer to this site gets the old, "oh you will get a great deal on the EE as part of their introduction from dozens of members". Well that may be true in some cases. However I often come across items that are costing the same or more used than they do in the stores.

This is not a cheap sport and newbies need help getting into it.

Small rifle primers for $90/1000 anyone? :) ;)

Personally you need to relax, You could have PM'ed me and ask if I made a mistake with my pricing, before you guys open a thread and drag my name through it.

I am not here to rip anyone off, I love shooting. I'm looking for a 20ga for my girlfriend so that's why I'm selling.

And you wonder why we can't get our rights and freedoms back, you are so fast to jump down another fellow firearms owners throat for a typo.

Very disappointed in the behavior of the haters, and appreciate the people that stuck up for me.

Good on you to sound off dirty9mm. The community is pretty beneficial as a whole but expect the occasional uproar, it happens. Hope you sell your shotgun!

Looking at one of the bigger stores in his area the Mossberg 500 combos go for over $400.00 & his post also includes a Trupoint reddot and the only one I can find to compare prices is at Cabelas in the US which is listed at $239.00 on sale for $199.00.

If he includes the shipping in the asking price, I don't think he is to far of on his price?
