Headspace guages in Canada

Anyone sell headspace guages in Canada? I have been doing a bunch of Remage and Savage style barrel swaps. Rather than order from Brownells, was curious if anyone in Canada sells them?

On the look out for a belted magnum set.

This is a good way to determine head space during a barrel swap.


1) try to chamber a factory cartridge. Does it close easily? Good.

2) put 2 layers of masking tape on the back of that cartridge. Does the bolt NOT CLOSE now? Good.

3) does it close with one layer of masking tape?



I think if you pass the first two tests you are good to go. I know I would shoot it.

TNA has them and a rental thingy you buy them but if you want you can return them they charge you like 20 bucks for the use

Yes TNA has them. But not in the sizes I want.

I got my gauges from bighorn sales. I also ordered direct from Manson custom reamers.

You could try calling or emailing Rusty Wood in Mission, I have gotten Forster headspace gauges from him in the past.
