Headspace question

So ive been messing with 350 legend. The round is a straight wall cartridge and I'm wondering about headspace. The case trim length is 1.700" and I measured the chamber and it is 1.719" to the sharp edge at the end from the bolt face (or in this case on a single shot, action face)

It's a rimless cartridge so the case head is the same size as the case body leaving really only the extractor to keep the case from falling in the chamber. So does that mean the extractor is taking the brunt of the pressure when firing? Im just a bit confused about what ive read and the way this works.

Guys say that because its rimless, it headspaces on the case mouth but that couldn't be true unless the brass is quite a bit longer than spec'd. Because this is a single and the the extractor partially covers the chamber, I've been giving my handloads a pretty healthy chamfer on the outside to aid in loading. If its a sharp edge, the case gets caught on the extractor and can be difficult to load. My thinking is that since the case mouth doesn't go near the end of the chamber this should be OK? Anyone care to verify if this is kosher? The firearm in question is a cva scout.

350 legend does headspace on the case mouth
the SAAMI chamber length is between 1.710" and 1.720"
on a properly trimmed case, the most the cartridge can "drop" in the chamber is 0.5mm which is not a lot

As for this part, the rifles design is generally made in such a manner that the extractor can deal with those forces. Almost all modern ammo is rimless. Extractor forces and wear wont be a concern just like it is not in any other 308/30-06/5.56 rifles

I will let someone else answer the other concerns as I don't reload and wont be able to give you accurate answers :)

I have a 450BM CVA Scout and have only reloaded virgin Hornady brass so far. Experiencing some delayed ignition with H110 and LilGun, I wonder if it has something to do with chamber fit / case length?

Factory 45bm ammo works like a hot damn!

308 etc are quite a bit different due to the bottle neck. Theres literally nothing that stops 350 and other rimless cases from going deeper in the chamber other than the extractor.

I started using small rifle magnum primers due to some pierced cci400 primers with less than max loads. No more pierced primers with the magnums. Lilgun is a new one to me. Don't leave it in a plastic hopper too long as it will stick and can ruin some powder dispensers.

It's like a long 9mm case. The mouth of the case is what it head space on. The extractor doesnt really see any force on it since it's so low on the case it likely where the case webbing is and not supporting any pressure

That gun would still load and shoot without the extractor installed. It may slightly bulge case where the extractor supports it but it may also not depending on the thickness of the extractor and webbing of the case.
